As a little girl in Dallas, Texas, I always imagined myself on stage. I made my way to Los Angeles, by way of enrolling at the University of Southern California. After dropping out of pre-med, much to the dismay of my Liberian mother, I embarked on a professional dance career, dancing for the likes of Nicki Minaj, Diddy, Shakira, Pit Bull, Miley Cyrus and Chris Brown.
After a quarter life crisis, I retired from dancing to focus on my acting career. Fortunately, acting jobs were few and far in between, and I discovered my love for writing and producing. My first short film, Solely, debuted on Issa Rae’s Youtube channel and garnered over 90,000 views.
Most recently, I've appeared on Dear Edward (Apple TV), FBI (CBS) and Invasion (Apple TV), as well as A Party to Die For (Tubi) in a supporting lead role. All the while, I've continued to earn my stripes as a producer, producing commercials for Instacart, McDonalds, Microsoft, & Under Armor. My first indie film as a producer, B-Boy Blues (BET), was nominated for a GLAAD award!
No longer a new transplant to New York, I love over-planning activities for my rambunctious toddler and patient husband. Excited to continue building my production company (Winnienoah Productions), while steadfastly telling stories in front of the camera.
